cupertino: EFA DESIGN SHOWCASE

Cupertino was featured in the Spring 2024 Environments for Aging (EFA) Design Showcase (see page 87), which highlights projects that promote wellness, comfort, and meaningful engagement for older adults. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the community’s interiors reflect a strong sense of place while prioritizing resident-centered design. Nature-inspired elements such as wood beams in the bistro, Capiz shell lighting in the salon, and light oak flooring in the foyer create warmth and connection. Midcentury influences appear in geometric tile at the parlor fireplace, lighting, and drapery selections, adding a modern yet familiar touch. Thoughtfully curated artwork, including local artists and themed corridor galleries, supports wayfinding while sparking conversation and engagement among residents.
