New Construction
Lonsdale Square, BC
On the North Shore of Vancouver, this contemporary community embraces the outdoors through layered, nature-inspired interiors. We used organic textures, warm wood tones, and a palette of forest greens, ocean blues, and soft neutrals to create a calming yet sophisticated backdrop. In common areas, we paired luxurious finishes with hospitality-style furnishings that balance comfort and modern elegance. Our lighting strategy highlights textures and enhances the warmth of each space. We specified large windows and glass façades to extend sightlines to the mountains and ocean, reinforcing a strong connection to nature. On the upper floors, we designed an enclosed terrace that gives memory care residents safe outdoor access. Throughout, we selected materials and arranged lounge areas to foster wellness, dignity, and a sense of belonging.
Oceanside, CA
Just outside the downtown waterfront in Oceanside, California, this two-story community blends rustic, modern, and coastal design to reflect the area’s Spanish Revival roots and seaside surroundings. We added exposed wood ceiling beams in main gathering spaces to bring warmth and depth, and we used a palette of sea greens, sandy neutrals, and driftwood browns to create a calming, relaxed atmosphere. We selected furnishings and fabrics that emphasize natural materials, layered textures, and muted earth tones, offering residents a comfortable, inviting place to call home. We curated local artwork to highlight coastal landmarks and nature views, grounding the interiors in Oceanside’s vibrant identity while delivering well-crafted, approachable spaces within a modest budget.
Old Town, VA
Situated in the heart of Alexandria’s historic Old Town, this project showcases how our designers honor context while delivering layered, high-impact interiors. Inspired by the neighborhood’s “old-world meets modern” character, we created playful contrasts in finishes, upholstery, and art, using rich colors and bold patterns to reflect the area’s vibrancy. We carefully selected accessories to add warmth and evoke the feeling of family heirlooms passed down through generations. We arranged common areas to evoke both old and new homes: in assisted living, we designed more enclosed spaces to add character and a sense of story, while still maximizing sight lines to encourage engagement. In contrast, memory care features a more open plan that promotes independence, with colorful doors inspired by Old Town’s entryways. These choices reflect our attention to detail as we create environments that balance historic character with a fresh perspective.
Killarney, BC
Nestled in a quiet Vancouver neighborhood, this community features bright, modern interiors that blend warmth and wellness with the region’s cultural richness. We paired rich textures and natural materials with fresh, mid-century-inspired fabrics and colors to create inviting, approachable spaces. We used warm wood accents to transition seamlessly from exterior to interior, reinforcing a cohesive design language. Natural light, playful zones, and cozy finishes help residents feel at home—whether they’re enjoying the bistro, fitness center, or library overlooking the gardens. We curated artwork by local artists, including pieces honoring the area’s Asian heritage, to add cultural depth and reinforce a strong sense of place throughout this vibrant, wellness-centered community.
McLean Village, VA
Set in the heart of McLean, Virginia, this project reflects the elegance and sophistication of the surrounding high-end homes. Our designers embraced the irregular site shape to create wide, open rooms and angled corridors that feel organic. We placed furniture intentionally to enhance wayfinding and resident comfort. Rich jewel-toned finishes and fabrics reinforce a timeless, classic style while aiding navigation throughout the community. We incorporated artwork by local artists and handpicked accessories from area antique shops to bring warmth, character, and a meaningful connection to local history. In the bistro, we designed an integrated bar that transitions seamlessly from a casual daytime coffee spot to a relaxed evening lounge, encouraging social gatherings and a welcoming sense of hospitality.
Orange, CA
In a quiet Orange County neighborhood, this community blends Spanish-influenced architecture with a relaxed, modern interior design approach. We applied a warm, earthy palette of terracotta, soft greens, and natural wood tones to create a bright, welcoming environment that reflects the coastal, sun-filled setting. We sourced California-made materials, including handmade tile backsplashes and custom millwork, to add depth and regional character. We commissioned local artists to create pieces like a dining room mosaic, tying the interiors to the community’s creative spirit while introducing color and texture. Generous windows bring in daylight and views, while our layered finishes and natural materials help create airy, inviting spaces where residents and families feel at home.
Livingston, NJ
Situated on 3.3 wooded acres just outside New York City, this Livingston community presents a transitional interior design that blends urban sophistication with natural warmth. The designers curated a mix of glam-inspired finishes and refined furnishings, pairing them with organic materials that reflect the surrounding landscape. Wood-cased openings frame key spaces and introduce warmth, while artwork throughout the community highlights the beauty of the nearby trees. We designed a custom live-edge communal table using an oak tree harvested from the site, creating a striking focal point for residents to gather. Local artists from the Riker Hill arts community contributed original pieces that add cultural depth and a strong sense of place. Together, these elements create a polished, welcoming environment that balances elegance, functionality, and connection to nature.
Vienna, VA
Inspired by global travel, natural elements, and local tradition, this community blends elegance with a true sense of home through layered, detail-rich interiors. We created a welcoming environment for residents and guests with refined finishes and thoughtfully selected furnishings, including a hand-carved triptych of the Shenandoah Mountain Range in the grand foyer. We used a mix of materials, textures, and nature-inspired colors to create depth throughout. Curated artwork highlights local landmarks and artists, adding cultural resonance. The bistro connects the living and dining rooms and features lifestyle elements like a grab-and-go fridge and wine station. We designed common areas such as a café that fosters multigenerational connection, along with enclosed courtyards and terraces, to encourage gathering, reflection, and socializing. Custom outdoor murals and accessories, reminiscent of travel mementos, add warmth and character, reinforcing a strong sense of place and community.
